There are many types of governments established worldwide some countries use more liberal forms while others are more controlling. Today I will be comparing the communist form of government and the capitalist form of government. I will discuss the classes that were involved, the origins of the economic systems, what countries have used these economic systems, and the ideas of these systems. The two known classes of this time period include the bourgeoisie and proletariat. The bourgeoisie is the middle class who is wealthier in society. On the other hand, were the proletariat which is the poorer working class. People aren’t allowed to own property because the state controls and owns everything. Also the government decides what products can be sold. Communism doesn’t have a specific date of when it originated, but it was used around the 18th century in Europe when the Communist Manifesto was written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels with the purpose to spread communism. The communist manifesto expressed the views of the working class. Bourgeoisie would take advantage of the proletariat in their work because as the work progressed the owners got all the earnings and the workers got the very minimum leading to lots of poverty. So ideas of communism include equality for all the citizens in a society so that the struggle of classes would end. To end the gap between rich and poor there would be no inheritances and no child labor. The end goal of communism was to prevent one class from rising above the other and have economic equality. One country who uses communism is Cuba. In Cuba the economy and labor force is greatly controlled by the government and the only political party allowed is the “Partido Comunisto de Cuba”(Cuban Communist Party).Although, Communism is supposed to help the economy many people live in poverty and are restricted to many privileges we have in the United
