20 November 2016 Research Proposal Abortion is one of the most talked about issues in America. Back in the days and now, many women decides to go through a painful procedure due to a couple of reasons. Which is why I am going to a write a research paper on why abortion is a women’s right or choice to do. Reasons such as: not being financially stable enough, unwanted pregnancy, not ready to be a parent, rape, and maybe I can also talk on the possible birth defects and health issues that can affect the women or the child. Considering that it is a 12 page research paper, my goal is to keep consistent, be in detail and talk about the different reasons I chose (maybe 2 pages each), and make sure to go deeper with my thoughts. For my intro, I will state my question and go into background about my topic. For my many paragraphs: I will talk through the different literature reviews, the significance of my topic, prepare my research questions, and collect some data from my resources.
Some of the sources I already found are the databases that I did in my annotated bibliography. I tried my best to find interesting articles that are quite relevant to my topic. For example, the first source was an article by Frederica Mathewes-Green “When Abortions Suddenly Stopped Making Sense”, she explains how many teens get abortions due to unwanted pregnancies for that reason, it is a reasonable choice to abort. Another source I found was an article by Natalie Pattillo “Abortion: Not Just a Social Issue” this article explains the medical and childcare costs and how poor women specifically, can suffer economically. Lastly, the article I chose was by Katha Pollitt “Abortion: No More Apologies” she explains how women should not feel guilty or apologize for what they want to do with their pregnancy. It should not be anyone else’s business including the Supreme Court or state legislature to judge women for having the right or choice to abort their
