Every day, an estimated 100 million animals are forced into being a subject to product testing. Most of the makeup worn by women, the medicine consumed when individuals are sick, and the body care used in everyday lives were all made by the action of scientists using animals to test the ingredients. Luckily, there is some products that are cruelty free and that did not involve in animal testing. Unfortunately though, animals cannot have a say to this matter and must suffer the consequences of the harsh regulations that the variety of companies put upon them in science labs. Some animals that are used in animal testing are; rats, mice, fish, rabbits, cats, dogs, pigs, monkeys, farm animals, etc. It is the duty as humans to understand the damage that is being done to the animals of this …show more content…
Animal experimentation should be banned because it takes away their entitlement, and not to mention the variety of alternatives that can be used.
To begin with, animal testing ruins the economy and the ecosystem. This means that the more animal testing is conducted, the less animals and money there is in this world. Sure, animals can reproduce and mate, but that is not helping the fact that many animals are endangered. For instance, in the book, Animal Rights Opposing Viewpoints, it states that out of the 30 million species in this world, more than half of that number are endangered (Harnack 183). That number can be reduced by so much if it was not for animal testing. In, Animal Rights Opposing Viewpoints, it clearly states “All wild animals have the right to liberty in their natural environment, whether land, air, or water, and should be allowed to procreate” (Harnack 17). Animals, no matter what species, should be able to go about their environment with no worries. In fact, there are already ingredients proved to be safe, so companies do not even need to test on animals. Such ingredients are; adrenaline, beeswax, amino acids, bee pollen, cholesterol, fats,
