Although the biggest argument for chemical testing on animals is to protect humans, other alternatives could be implemented to protect helpless animals from a lifetime of cruelty. Public typically believe that chemical testing is only on rats and other rodents; however, a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, bunnies, primates, and farm animals are used as well [2].
