A cool career would be to become a conservation officer (CO) or game warden. From the article (http://learn.org/articles/what_does_a_conservation_officer_do.html) in the section “what does a conservation officer do?” it stated that “A conservation officer is an environmental guardian.” The reason why we have conservation officer is to maintain our laws and regulations in nature. There are many positives of being a conservation officer, but there are also some sad and scary moments in that job. Someone who has a lot of respect for nature and a good work ethic would be a good candidate for a career in this field.

Work.chron.com says that the job often requires hiking through rough terrain, hunting down poachers and assisting search and rescue missions. The reason why they have to watch out for poachers is because they are hunting animals out of season, and also could kill people or dogs is in the area. We heat with firewood and make sure not to cut wood in the forest during hunting season and if someone is hunting out of season we could get hurt. In Clifty Park you often hear about someone who is lost or has fallen down the falls. It is one of the many job duties of our officers to do the search and rescue. To do this kind of work this person has to be fit. The disadvantages of being a game warden by Jeffrey Joyner states that it is common for game wardens to stumble over drugs or marijuana plants. Having to arrest these kind of people could be really dangerous. Conservation officers are also responsible for trapping wild and nuisance animals, this could be another dangerous part of the job because some of the animals could have disease.
