1. I have set high goals and expectations for enabling my future career success. With any level of accomplishment forth-comes the capabilities of ethical dilemmas, requiring ethical conversations. Someday my work will involve one of those conversations with family, friends and advisors centered on a hopeful future career in public service and politics. Today's campaigns are so expensive that often only the wealthy or those willing to accept the strings attached to large campaign contributions can afford to run for office. For me, I have a great interest in being a representative of the people for the people. Being a politician provides a great platform of close connections, inside details and substantial influence upon policy and governance influencing trillions of dollars and thousands of corporations in every corner of America. The chances of becoming elected are incredibly low, but even though the chances are low, the potential impact is still very high. Concentrated wealth has long posed significant dangers to America’s ideals. Recently Americans have seen the influence of money-buying politicians' votes and seats in Congress and the Senate. The personal ethical developments, which I can draw from, include both facing the shadow side of personality and identifying personal values. Through my evaluation of my shadow side I am enabled to begin with a realistic self-assessment. My shadow side enables self-responsibility for my actions and holds me accountable for how I act. The idea is that in any future campaign I have a choice to how I first establish myself and how I respond throughout the campaign. I can avoid the pitfalls of my shadow side by understanding criticism from others and realizing that such criticism can provide me with valuable insights to my
