I agree with you 100 percent about children getting vaccinated. I 'm the mother of a 4 year old little girl who has always been vaccinated from day one of birth and thank goodness has never had any bad side effects from her vaccinations and I even get her a flu shot every flu season. And I like knowing that if she did have any complications I would want to know that if nothing else that my daughters medical bills would be taken care of. And i always found the information about the vaccinations and all the pros and cons are very helpful and easy to read. I think that the national childhood vaccine injury act is a good thing
Required immunizations for children continue to be debated based on side effects, ingredients, and religious and philosophical beliefs. Some people are in favor of required immunizations because they feel it protects the body and others are against it because they believe vaccines infect the body. Immunizations will insure healthy children and will prevent many lethal diseases. Immunizations should be required for children to protect them from life threatening diseases.
Not only do vaccines have health benefits, but economic benefits as well. Parents can protect their children and their wallets because their children will not rack up medical expenses due to illness. Parents have no reason to miss work because their child is dying, or see them suffer because they cannot afford to pay for treatment. By examining the pros of vaccines, one can see that they seem to improve the greater good of society regardless of the controversy surrounding
The parental instinct of protecting one's children plays a role with the increasing trend of vaccine refusal and vaccine delay. Vaccine hesitancy is significant concern as some parents are skeptical about the safety of vaccines, which can consequently lead to vaccine refusal driven by fear of harm. As with the majority of health innovations, there are risks and benefits associated. Similarly, the Public Health Agency of Canada (2013) states that vaccines are not 100% safe, however they are much more safe as compared to the life threatening diseases such as diphtheria. With respect to Wakefield's autism study (1998), a limitation to his study was that the sample size used was very small with only 12 children (as cited in Smith, 2013).
I will be writing about whether to vaccinate or not vaccinate your children. I will then give my own opinions about whether I am in favor of vaccinating or not vaccinating children. It is important to know whether you should vaccinate your children or not and how you should do it. I will be giving facts found from websites and cite the websites. I will be talking about one side and the other.
Julia states that “vaccination is a medical procedure that should have questions prier to getting a vaccination. ”(The doctors.2008). On the other hand, Dr.Jim Sears argues that Vaccination can be related to Autism, but its not the main factor, there are many other factors that cause Autism, where these factors are unknown. Dr.Sears states that “many children get this disease without getting vaccinated”(The Doctors.2008). In his statement Dr.Sears states that preventing child vaccination won’t protect your child from getting diagnosed with
Critique of Argument Assignment For my argument analysis, I decided to critique the argument that people, mainly children, should not be vaccinated. Here are a couple of excerpts that argue against vaccinations from ProCon.org: • Vaccines are unnatural, and natural immunity is more effective than vaccination. Even pro-vaccine organizations state that natural vaccination causes better immunity. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia notes that "It is true that natural infection almost always causes better immunity than vaccines.
In May 2017, Italian government approved a legislative decree that introduces 12 mandatory vaccinations for all children between 0 and 16. Failure to fulfill the obligation entails a fine, the inability to enter the mandatory school, and the possible loss of parental authority. A lot of people (named no-vax) did protests and demonstrations against this decree, defining it an anti-constitutional law because it limits the people Health's choices for their children. Other protests motivations brought by no-vax are fear of the possible collateral effects, vaccines can cause autism, many simultaneous vaccines overload immune system, and they think that they are no more necessary because many infectious diseases are disappearing.
The vaccination wars debate is a large controversy over whether children should receive the recommended vaccines or not. This debate takes into consideration the possible risks to the child, family, and the community versus parents having a choice to say no to vaccines, despite pressures by society and the government. Furthermore, the debate discusses that although there are rare side effects of vaccinations, but overall they are safe and in the best interest of the child and the community. For instance, it was believed that autism was caused by the MMR vaccine. Except, with scientific proof, there showed to be no correlation between the MMR vaccine and autism.
“According to Shot@Life, a United Nations Foundation partner organization, vaccines save 2.5 million children from preventable diseases every year” (Pg. 4). Although there are few cons to getting your children vaccinated, the pros outweigh the cons with flying colors. Almost all of the disadvantages, such as vaccines causing autism, ADD, and IBS, have been scientifically proven to have no correlation. Keeping our kids and community healthy is the most important factor.
Everyone wants what is best for their children, and for this reason and many others a lot of parents in recent decades have been choosing to not vaccinate their children. There are many reasons that parents may or may not choose to vaccinate their children, each of these arguments has plenty of reasons for and against them. There are three prominent reasons in the anti-vaccination community on why vaccinations are looked down upon or seen as dangerous. The first of these being that many believe vaccinations to cause developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as physical disabilities. The second main reason is that many of these same people also believe that there are dangerous and untested chemicals with unknown consequences
Vaccines prevent more than 2.5 million deaths annually. In the past 60 years, vaccines helped eradicate one disease (smallpox) and are close to eradicating another (polio). Some parents believe that vaccines are harmful to their children causing their children to get ill or give them life threating problems. However vaccinations not only do they save lives they also protect the child from very deadly diseases that once took millions of lives. Any parents who do not vaccinate their children are not only possibly risking their child's life , but many others that are around them.

Many people may think that vaccination is a bad thing, that instead of preventing it causes illness, that is not natural. Natural or not, there are many reasons as to why we should vaccinate us and the younger generation. Most of the time children don’t like vaccination because it hurt, but is the responsibility of a parent to seek the wellbeing of his or her child. Vaccination it’s a preventive measure of various diseases. Unfortunately, things like the anti-vaccination movement, the misinformation on the Internet, and the believe that vaccination causes more damage than is worth, have led our society to think that it’s right not to vaccinate.
