In the other hand, the non-beneficial reasons linked to this action is that the tax rate would increase having lots of people to lose their money also if drugs was to be legalized, the users may take advantage of this by marketing it to others: benefiting them financially.
Decriminalization of drugs, in my opinion should be seen as a change for something more sustainable, meaning this would not result in an increase of drug use yet treat the drug users as a health issue, changing the user's personal lifestyle using therapy instead of imprisonment. The case of how governments have treated drug users or in other words thought of them as criminals,
