’Embryonic stem cells research will prolong life, improve life and give hope for life to millions of people,’’ says Jim Ramstad. Embryonic stem cells are cells derived from the inner cell mass of a human embryo. Embryonic cells could save many lives but with parents deciding on its use is something that is worth arguing about looking at both the advantages and disadvantages which will take us to the right that the parent has based health issues that they might came across. Religion and ethical beliefs are crucial as when a person is to undertake the process they should know their beliefs as parents. According to EuroStemCell, I f one does not believe that a fertilized egg is not human then we should not destroy it as much as a hunter does not shoo if he’s not sure if it’s a deer or a man. As absurd as it may be but I would rather die than to take an innocent life and I do a person of religion as well so have to go against my morals and value just to be healed in exchange for a soul I would choose death. Even the stem cells are not guaranteed on curing a disease as they may cause other cells and not the health ones that I would rather need which I don’t trust as cancer is a deadly disease. As in the book and movie of My Sisters Keeper, the older sister suffered with Leukaemia and the sister had to be a donor to her cells that shut down even if it was not embryonic stem cells but she had to undergo operations for her which I would consider her being born to be a donor to her sister which is not something that I would like to see a person go through and have to take it to a point of suing as her parents were using her for the health of the sister which was not right of them without her
