Also it allows the user to scare off any attackers. There is a significant decrease chance in which criminals will attack someone who is armed. Another pro is that people feel safer with a gun even though they might never use it in public. It is practically impossible for our government to protect everyone in the country, so the right allows the US citizens to feel a lot more safe because they can protect themselves if needed. Because criminals carry firearms illegally, citizens should have the right and ability to protect themselves from armed
I think its good that Obama thinks we need a gun law because over the years we have seen a spark in mass shooting. But I also understand that its our right to bare arms. But I hope that congress can come to a action plan to form a bill that has limitations on guns. I think that we should have a mental check on people to see if they are in the right mindset to have a gun. We need to try to get the selling of illegally down.
Some people argue that allowing the carry gun law to be legal will increase the percent of deaths, robberies, and assaults. Also allowing the carry gun law to be legal will bring more violence and anarchy to the state. A gun on the wrong hands can be really dangerous and also powerful. Allowing people to carry a gun on the streets any time of the day and any time of the year can increase the number of robberies.
2nd Amendment Gun Control, I believe that we need to have guns. we can do about taking out shootings if you take guns away from good people then they can't defend themselves, then we can't hunt for food, and we can't have protection. we dont want to have no guns and the government to have all the power. even if they try to take the guns away they won't get most of the guns. We need to have that right to have our guns our protection to defend ourselves from robbers and the government if it goes bad.
Control is an illusion Would you think it would be better to tell your kid that the dog died or that it actually ran away to live on the farm? Well either way, with the advancement of technology and unlimited access to anything, they’ll figure it out one way or another. But it’s not the fear of telling your kids the truth about vices in this world, it’s that other people have the freedom to share that information to them anyways. The amount of tolerance for explicit messages is increasingly wearing thin. Sex, violence, language, drugs, is becoming a more normal thing for kids to see.
Gun control is the regulation of firearms. These are laws and policies set to regulate the sale of firearms, possession and use of firearms and the manufacturing of these guns, among other things (en.wikipedia.org1). The issue of gun control is relevant in the US today, with mass shootings covering the media almost every month. Therefore, the debate on whether or not gun laws should be stricter or more relaxed is currently happening, and lobbyist and interest groups have a lot of influence on this debate. The question is then: How much influence do these interest groups and lobbyists have on gun control in the US?
The United States was founded off many common laws that were for the benefit of the people. In 1791 the foundation for the United States was put into place when the Bill of Rights for the Constitution was ratified on December 15, 1791 (Staff, ProQuest 1). The Second Amendment was a part of the Bill of Rights and has caused many issues sense the ratification. There are several view points on the Second Amendment, gun control, and what needs to be done to reduce gun violence. A problem arises when the federal government tries to make certain laws involving firearms due to the Second Amendment.
A gun is made to be used at its full capability. Weapons are used also for protection over your family,(“A ban on assault weapons would not reduce crime”) also said, “ California 's murder rate increased every year for five years, twenty-six percent total. That is a perfect example of why some people feel the need to keep a gun or firearm in their homes, they are aware of the murder rate due to the media. People do not want to take a chance on someone hurting them so they feel the need to have one, witch is understandable because the murder rate has raised in the last 5 years there. You don’t want your firearm to not be able to be used to its maximum strength at a time if someone was to try to harm you, you would want it to be able to be used at its maximum strength to be able to protect you from harm.
Guns are lethal, automatic, loaded, ghastly, rapid fire execution machines. Everyday, an estimated number of 100 people are shot dead in America. Every year, around 35,000 people are killed by the use of guns, more than 50% of those being suicides. Why doesn’t Congress do anything about it? First things first, they are very tribal and even though Republicans and Democrats have different views on gun control, neither group is willing to meet in the middle with the debate.
They fear that they will not be able to protect themselves on a daily basis, or in a worse case scenario, protect themselves if the government happened to turn on citizens of the country. They would also argue that people, especially criminals, can still find ways to gain access to guns. Guns should not be banned in the United States due to them being able
People have the tendency to believe that they should be able to do whatever they want with the gun they own. We do have rights as Americans, but the government defines those rights. For example, it is illegal to shout “FIRE!” in a movie theatre when there is not an actual fire. Yes, under the first amendment, we have the freedom of speech - but the government defines free speech.
Gun control also limits our constitutionally derived right to own firearms. If gun control is enforced, law-abiding citizens will be forced to give up their guns and their right to own guns, while many criminals who own guns may illegally keep theirs. As the saying goes “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.” Guns are an important aspect of our society in many ways. They allow for protection, recreation, and hunting.
Gun Control is a good thing in many different ways for many people. However, when you have a law abiding citizen who can not purchase a gun because the restrictions are too high then there is a problem. Gun Control was made to keep a person who has something on their record like drunk driving multiple times, armed robbery, or illegal citizen from buying a gun because the government wants to keep everyone safe and does not want to harm anybody. As stated in my research found in a world encyclopedia, “Many people own guns for the protection of their home.”
With tougher gun control laws, there will be a lesser chance of another shooting. Owning a weapon makes a person feel safer. Pew Foundation report found that “79% of male gun owners and 80% of female gun owners said owning a gun made them feel safer and 64% of people living in a home in which someone else owns a gun felt safer.” The truth is owning
This makes us wonder why people can be so defensive over something like a gun that is so dangerous and has lead to a lot of deaths in the American society. Gun control is essential in our society today because it will help prevent unnecessary shootings and crime rate Gun control will play a major part in the decrease of the crime and murder rate. Therefore, in my point of view, guns should be totally controlled and regulated by the government. If gun ownership is controlled by the government, only a limited number of people will be allowed to own guns. In addition, the regulations will make it difficult for people to access guns unless they have a concrete reason as to why they need the weapon.
