During these few weeks democrats and Republicans Who are running for president were engaged in a battle to win the Iowa caucus. The state of Iowa hosted the first official vote of the 2016 campaign. During the Iowa caucus, different tactics and strategies were used by both parties to gain votes, through the use of persuasion ,repugnant comments, and the use of the media. Sandra Fluke’s opinion over this matter has impacted many people and she has, by some means, persuaded numerous people to agree with her opinion on this argument. Duffy states how important it is to know how to speak in well-manner style in an argument if you want to accurately get your message across. The author states that college students need to know how to act in a mature manner when having an argument about a certain topic. This years presidential debate was the last hope for either candidates to win over the heart’s of voters. This years race to be president has been filled with many different characters. Twenty three candidates in total to be exact. The final candidates being for the republican party Donald Trump, and for the democratic party Hillary Clinton. They both went back and forth at each other making sly remarks, and stating the facts to upgrade their candidacy stock.

Television started the era of “movie star presidencies.” Presidential elections have become more accessible to Americans, but less fair.
The third Republican Debate is now in the books, after the top 10 leading GOP candidates debated for more than two hours. There are now less than 100 days until the first ballots are cast. This debate was a very important for many of the candidates campaigns because they are now approaching the “make-or-break point” of their campaigns (Diamond). I am a voter writing to you out of concern for the state of our current presidential debates. As they allow presidential campaigns to be expanded upon, enable viewers to make judgements, and establish the differences between the candidates’ positions, debates are one of the primary resources I use to decide how I will vote. However, I have come to the conclusion that the debates of today are not achieving their goal of enabling citizens to make conscientious decisions. After researching the experiences of many other voters, I have determined I am not alone in this belief. Disturbingly, there has been almost no change to presidential debate formats since 1992, when the single moderator and town hall styles were implemented.
