One of my first question is why does the team not want to accept the girl for who she is and how great of a basketball player she really is. I don’t get why they have to look at her like she’s the one that’s holding the team back when she’s one of the better players on the team. That is just one of my many questions I have about the basketballs team. My second question is why does the coach have to gibe at the team and, also have to be so up tight about every thing that happens on the court. “F*** it ill tell her she not coming when we get there” (Lupica 41).

Yes height does affect how high a basketball will bounce. For example if you drop a basketball from 4 feet it will bounce higher than if you bounce it from 1 foot. This happens because of acceleration. When you bounce a ball from somewhere high it gets more acceleration and speed and therefore makes it bounce higher than if it was from a lower height. This is because as the ball is falling it is picking up speed which gives it more kinetic energy.
One reason why the WNBA should get paid more is that women’s sports are identical to men’s sports. For example some people think that women aren’t good enough to get paid more because men are faster, stronger, and more athletic (www.cnn.com.girls basketball). Women have all of those qualities. Some WNBA players can even dunk.
Also, in the WNBA the ball is 28 inches round compared to the NBA ball which is 29 inches round. Both of these show examples of the differences between the women 's league and the men 's league. If a woman was to join the NBA they could struggle due to the differences. If women were to play in the NBA men would be playing against other competitors who are possibly slower and more fragile than themselves.
Just because they have less attendance and television ratings than the NBA doesn’t mean they should get paid less. Women can be just as good as men and they can get the same average free throw percentage or rebound percentage average as the men if they put their minds to it and
Women have been playing basketball alongside men since the beginning of basketball. They have played physical and hard games, just like men, but women are still paid incredibly low. Although WNBA players do not draw as large of crowds as men, women who play in the WNBA should be given an increase in the amount they are paid because women can be just as skilled as men who play basketball, and they are not paid enough despite being professional athletes. WNBA players deserve a higher paycheck because women who play professional basketball have the same skill and capability as men. For example, there have even been women drafted into the NBA because they had the same level of skill as NBA players.
With women coming into the league, rules would be changed like the poor and inconsistent calls from the referees. Considering the fact that the WNBA doesn’t average many technical fouls or ejections. Just because the females can’t slam dunk or alley-oop doesn’t mean they’re not as good as the males, females play just as hard as the men do and deserve equal salaries. Which is true, everybody loves interesting high scoring games packed with highlights, and changing the rim to to 11 feet is going to take this away from them, including the players because of the amount of time it is going to take the players to get used to shooting and dunking on an 11 foot rim. Frasor adds to his argument by saying, “If basketball were too easy for professional players, then you could make an argument to raise the basket, but that is not the case” (Frasor 1). If the NBA were to raise the rim then it would prove that the NBA is too easy for the players. This is definitely not the case considering that the 2016 Philadelphia 76ers were 10-72 and last season it took them 16 games to get a win, in addition to many teams being under .500, meaning they had more losses than wins.
This pay difference can discourage the girls that want to become professional athletes. Thus, limiting the sports available for women to play and places to play in. Professional female athletes should be paid the same amount as professional male athletes because women should have equal representation and pay as the men, women are just as successful in sports as the men, and the best players are getting paid by foreign leagues to not
High school basketball players should be eligible for the NBA (National Basketball Association) draft because it could benefit them by making more money, having less distractions, and making them succeed earlier in the NBA (National Basketball Association). First, by getting drafted out of high school they would get more money than they would be getting if they went to college
One rule that men and women basketball have that is different is women's basketball, they ball they play with has to be small than a man's basketball. The women's basketball is typically smaller than the mens basketball because men have larger hands than women. Another rule that is different between men and womens basketball is the shot clock times. The shot clock is for the game to go faster, and you have to shoot in that amount of time or it’s a turn over. Finally, women and mens basketball is different because of the style played overall.

To this day, there is still some discrimination when it comes to boys and girls playing on the same sports team. So many people, which will generally be adults, have a problem with both boys and girls playing on the same team. We are in the twenty-first century and people are still closing certain sports to certain genders. I have began to notice that it is still frowned upon when boys and girls are on the same team, but my question is why. I believe boys and girls should be able to play on the same team and that it should not be weird when they do a sport uncommon for their gender because people should have the freedom of choice, it doesn’t matter your gender and as long as you're playing the game who cares who's with you.
