Medicare coverage or bust
The honor of being a Unites States citizen comes with expected advantages, the freedom of speech and ability to practice personal religious values without persecution. Health care quality and security are also privileges that all citizens are allowed. Medicare is a socially designed federal program, allowing our aging communities the advantage of proper health care as it is part of their deducted taxes as employed workforce and a citizen also including a limited unauthorized immigrant in the United States. This combined collection of assets is both collected and paid out for the generations as they move to a point past the working age average that in recent years has changed. This socially collected culmination of funds is dependent on all participants that have trusted the federal government to manage this availability for all participants. It’s the commitment the workforce has on the system, with limited acceptance of this program it will negatively influence the economical input and drive secondary care needed, also negatively influencing the economy as these funds will not be released into the local economy.
In 2011, unauthorized immigrants comprised 3.5 % of the US population and made 1.5 % of Hospital Trust Fund (HITF) contributions, or $3.5 billion. They were responsible for none of its expenditures. Thus, in 2011 unauthorized immigrants generated a trust fund surplus of $3.5 billion. In contrast, authorized persons made $225.4 in (HITF) contributions and were responsible for $256.7 billion expenditures, generating a $31.3 billion net deficit. Unauthorized immigrants generated an average surplus of $316 per capita, while authorized persons generated a deficit of $106 per capita. (Zellman, L. 2016)
