This commemorative coin was based off of the Capitol building in Colonial Williamsburg. The Capitol was where Patrick Henry gave his speech Caesar Brutus. This speech was very inspirational and important to the colonists. This is why on the front side of the coin Patrick Henry’s face is shown along with his famous words “Give me liberty, or give me death!” These very inspirational words are a sign of liberty which is why on the back is the Grand Union Flag.

In order to help the audience to believe her, at the beginning of her speech, Glaser tells the audience that she “Had unknowingly passed it to [her] daughter, Ariel, through [her] breast milk, and [her] son, Jake, in utero”. In order to build Elizabeth Glaser’s ethos, Glaser talks about how she and her children aren’t the “typical” or “expected” people to contract AIDS.
In the speech to the troops at Tilbury, Queen Elizabeth the 1st attempts to persuade her soldiers to fight the Spanish for god and country. While speaking to her soldiers, Queen Elizabeth the 1st builds an argument to persuade them that fighting the Spanish is commanded by God and that fighting the Spanish will help improve their country. The argument developed through queen elizabeth's use of pathos using her soldiers feelings of attachment to their country and god. Near the beginning of the speech queen elizabeth the 1st says “...under God, I have placed my chiefest strength and safeguard in the loyal hearts and good-will of my subjects; and therefore I am come amongst you,...” when she says this she using ethos.

“Queen Elizabeth I's Speech to the Troops at Tilbury, 1588”, and “Patrick Henry's Speech to the Virginia Convention, March 23, 1775”, are two powerful speeches delivered at different times in history, but both speeches share similarities and differences in their use of rhetorical appeals. One similarity between the two speeches would be that both of them use pathos, which is an appeal to the emotions of the audience. Queen Elizabeth I used pathos by showing the importance of the English soldiers in the face of Spanish invasion. She appealed to their sense of nationalism and loyalty, which inspired the troops to fight. Patrick Henry also used pathos by talking about some of the dangers that faced the colonies.

In Trump’s speech, he made several references to religion by saying the name God and referencing the Bible because of his background of being Christian. For example, he said, “The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity” (Trump, para. 13) in the middle of his speech and “God bless America” (Trump, para. 17) at the end of it. The queen is painting the image that the battle is really taking a toll on her and on the kingdom. It may be that she is over exaggerating this point to get it across. She is also implying that she may not physically be a king, but in her heart she feels like a king. She is not backing

To project the ideas of strength and firm ideals, Thatcher used repetition, elevated syntax and the tone of optimism and sincerity to convey her message. In the beginning of the speech, Thatcher used repetition to show what Reagan had accomplished in his lifetime.
In William Shakespeare’s Henry V, the character of King Henry delivers some powerful verbiage, known as St. Crispin’s Day Speech, to his troops in order to rally the men for battle. In this speech, King Henry chooses to invoke themes such as glory, religion, and comradery to make the battle they are about to fight immortal in the soldiers’ minds and to motivate them to fight together. These themes draw similar emotions in all men, no matter their background; all men have the need for honour, the urge to please the deity they believe in, and the need to trust in their fellow men. Every man wants his story to be remembered.
Her ability to stimulate her audience’s senses with just her spoken language is outstanding. Her imagery in the speech is arousing and promotes confidence. She states, “...I have the body but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king...” Addressing some possible doubts of her troops. It was likely that the army of men was reluctant to follow a leader who was a woman.
