As part of its intervention, the United States have been sending troops to fight in other countries. Most times the U.S. send troops to overthrow autocratic rulers and build democracy. There is also another kind of intervention, it takes place during crisis to provide humanitarian aid. However, in both cases, the U.S. government should make a clear and thoughtful strategic decision before getting involved and send troops under any condition. Coercive treatment involves the treatment of an individual whom does not want to seek treatment or does not think that they require treatment. I believe that coercive treatment is a defensible practice as the practitioners working against the will of their patients, are doing so in hopes of helping the individual suffering from a mental disorder. Exposure and response prevention therapy is a behavioral therapy. Exposure involves exposing patients to situations that trigger their obsessions and compulsions. Response prevention involves not allowing the patients to perform the rituals they would typically use to reduce anxiety. The combination of these two strategies leads to extinction of the fear response. Behavioral therapy begins with an assessment of the patient’s obsessional thoughts and impulses and the stimuli that trigger them.

I am first presented with a scenario involving a runaway trolley that is out of control and if left alone it will kill five people. However, if I were to be standing next to the lever the trolley would switch path and only kill one person. In a different scenario I am on a bridge next to a better large person and I am watching the trolley head towards the five individuals, and if I stand around and do nothing they will be killed. However, I have the option of choosing to stand around and watch the five individuals get killed or push the very large man over and manage to stop the trolley and save the five individuals but kill the very large individual. After reading the scenarios and evaluating my options, I found myself conflicted in deciding which would be the best choice.
1.3.1 Interdisciplinary intervention The literature supports the view that the prognosis of individuals with LBP is not as good as previously thought. The typical recovery is slow, and patients may still have pain and disability for one year 54-58.
