To some, Advanced Placement (AP) courses are strenuous courses and unbeneficial, but it is important to understand that they are courses used to prepare students for college. AP courses are designed to help students reach their maximum learning potential, while exposing them to the workload of a college course. AP courses are beneficial for students who wish to challenge themselves and increase their options for their future. One reason AP classes are advantageous to high school students is because they put them ahead of students who do not take AP when they apply to college.
