So many people are seen using their phones while driving it is becoming impossible for police to gain control over the issue. In today’s world, cell phone devices take a big part in our lives. We depend on our devices for communication needs such as surfing the internet, making calls, and texting. Yes, cellphones are useful but also more dangerous when used at inappropriate times. One of the most dangerous time to use cell phones is while driving. Oprah Winfrey’s New York Times editorial essay “Dnt Txt N Drv,” explains the extreme consequences of texting while driving.
Although there would be negative consequences if texting while driving would be banned and you were to be caught, it is better than regretting and living with shame once a calamity were to occur because of your carelessness and stubborn self. Texting while driving should be banned to decrease these irrational happenings that could easily be avoided if only people would stop giving their attention to a cellphone instead of the road
There should be awareness of the parents to tell their children texting while driving can cause many things. For example, injuries and death. There must be some punishment of the parents or the government for who use their phone while they are driving, as there is a speed
Should The Government Banned Texting While Driving? Although Police cannot determine if the driver is texting while driving, and bans are becoming more effective, texting while driving should be banned because transportation cell phone systems are being installed into cars, apps are being made to stop teens from texting, and people are stopping the inappropriate use of mobile devices. I do not support this law and disagree with the idea of illegalizing cellphone use while driving. It has become part of human nature to rely on technological advances for a myriad of things.

I think the New Law, texting while driving, is a good idea, because more people are to get in to car accidents. A lot of people today are dying and/or wounded because of people who aren’t considerate of other people while driving. People text when they drive, or they will call someone, and they will be looking blankly outside. I feel if there is a law against texting, then more and more people are less likely to do it. So, if a person is texting while driving, then they are pulled over and given a ticket.
In the state of New Jersey there are many restrictions being added on teen drivers. One being to make sure teens are not out past their driving curfew they have to add a red trim piece around their license plates, so police have a higher chance of knowing if teens are out past their driving curfew of eleven o´clock. Teens tend to overrate their skills on the road and underate the risks of the road (Zermike 6-7). One way teens tend to overrate their skills is by texting. Texting is a easy way to become distracted, and to forget about driving.
That issue lead us to other question that what is negatively thing effecting teenager and adult to text during drive. In addition, we had to find solution to stop people texting during driving. Texting and driving has caused many deaths among teens and others, and many families grieve every day, wishing that the worst action anyone can do while driving to become illegal. In the year 2009, 5,500 people died in texting and driving related accidents (Johnson, 2012). From then the numbers only go up because of the growth of technology. This issue is not just a concern with young drivers. Adults are just as guilty as teenagers when it comes to texting and driving. Teens say that their parents warn them of the dangers of texting and driving, but their parents do it “all the time” (Halsey). Despite thousands of deaths per year attributed to texting and driving, people just are not getting the message. This is an epidemic, and it should be handled accordingly.
Texting and driving is dangerous around the world. Every day people are getting hurt or in worst scenarios dying from texting while driving. Who are you putting at risk? You are putting people in your car at risk, you at risk and everyone around you at risk!
