In today’s society death row’s ratings have skyrocketed to unbelievable numbers. The criminal justice system uses death row as a way to get rid of murders, rapist, and many more criminals who have done inhumane things in society. Many believe that the death penalty is immoral and doesn’t help the world in any way.While others feel as though it is a way to make people who have done horrible things in society to pay for their crimes.I’m personally against the death penalty. I feel as though it is immoral and no human being should have the job of executing another human..Sometimes killing the suspect doesn’t always help the victim’s families heal. Many believe that executing criminals is a way to protect them from future crimes. Although it may seem to be a logical reason, there is no credible evidence that the death penalty decreases crime. In my opinion the death penalty is an outdated ancient form of punishment. It is also considered to be immoral to some religions, for example in the Bible it says: “Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death.” (Exodus 21:12). Many Christians believe that no man should take the life of someone else. They believe that life and death should fall into the hands of God. To some the death penalty is viewed as revenge for pain and suffering that the criminal caused on the on the victim. In the same way,some people strongly believe that a person who has taken the life of another person does not have the right to live. It is known as “an eye for an eye”.
