The idea of welfare reformation has been tossed around for years now. The ideas of fairness, equality, and taxes have been politically argued in terms of welfare abuse. An immense amount of people tend to favor the reform because they feel the program is weak in major, prominent areas that ultimately join together to create success within the nation. The program itself, especially its organization and requirements, must be altered to better suit the non wealthy population. The U.S. American welfare system has helped millions of Americans who need the extra support especially, single mothers who have many jobs and many kids. However, the welfare system is also very corrupt. I see it all the time, I live in an area where violence and gangs happen and I can see the people who actually need extra help and, I also see those who chose to live off others and the government. I do feel ass the United states needs to regulate their welfare programs and make sure it is being used for needs and not wants. Welfare is designed to promote the basic physical and material well-being of people in need. The problem comes with the ease people have in cheating the system. It is far too easy for someone to get more support than they deserve and to become totally dependent on that support. The most effective solution for this is simple. Welfare should only be granted to citizens in specific categories such as students and the elderly, and should not be granted to those citizens that do not fall in to those categories due to the fact they should support themselves and their families.
