It is my privilege to write a letter recommending Jim Burke, a former student of mine at Rio Americano High School, for admission to Pitzer College. Based on reading “Want to Get into College?’ Learn to Fail,” the article you wrote for Education Week magazine in February, 2012, I am convinced that Jim Burke would be a valuable addition to your student body. Mr. Burke has had a great deal of trouble throughout high school. Jim was less than perfect in school.

In the book, it shows that Philip daydreams and makes ‘funny’ comments during class. His actions clearly show that he does not care about Ms. Narwins class. This also proves that Philip is giving himself bad grades by not paying attention. Additionally, by causing this completely unnecessary event, he caused Ms. Narwin to get fired. Oblivious people might even say that Ms. Narwin deserved to get fired for taking away Philips rights.
The governor of Virginia was afraid that they weren’t going to have slaves anymore due to the uproar of the slave revolt. I truly believe Nat should be remembered as a Hero due to the fact that he stood up for what he believed was right and he took action. Nat started this monumental rebellion not even realizing that being publicly hung would be his death sentence. Nat was courageous and listened to signs God shown him. Nat believed in his heart that he was doing the right thing.

As surprising as it may sound, people at work don 't just cease to have emotions while laboring away at their workplace tasks all the time. Not quite like what the great Bard had to say, but... ...

My senior internship for psychology was spent over the summer in Salem at Shangri-La. It all started in the early 1960s, when fifteen families with children with special needs purchased and converted a farmhouse into several classrooms for their children to learn. Over years of continued public, private, and local support, Shangri-La is
In life, lies ruin relationships and breaks trust. This idea of deceitfulness can be shown in many different ways, like in books, movies, and real life. In F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, the moral issues and constant lying displayed by each character led to the inevitable destruction of their lives and friendships. Although most of the characters in this novel are untruthful and untrustworthy, one, in particular, has dug himself into a hole of lies that he cannot get out of.
However, Nick doesn’t question the situation and even goes on to get as debauched as everyone else at the party. Nick’s “bystander complex” is further cemented when he sneaks out of the party amongst the chaos and spends the rest of it with McKee. Socially, Nick wasn’t in any position that would hinder him from offering to help Myrtle or even to stop Tom from abusing her. He was after all closest to Tom in
Some classmates felt that his last shred of hope to keep him alive was his hatred for the party while others agreed that his love for Julia would help him from conforming back to the ideals of the party. When discussing what another classmates have found in class it has helped me to understand other points I might have overlooked in the novels we have read. I have improved from these activities by writing down other points and

Neil decided to audition for the community play, and seize the day! Keating was very happy for Neil following his passions, yet Keating thought Neil’s father was allowing this to happen.
If Nick would of treated Valerie like any other patient’s Mother, the affair between Nick and Valerie would not of
