Year-round schooling is a hot topic of debate in education today. Education has been the pathway to a better life for many years now, that’s why many parents are switching their children to year-round schooling more these days. Parents are considering it as a better interest for their children’s future to be successful in life. Traditional schools are having issues with the students academic levels and their attendance. When students go on summer break teachers spend more time having to reteach the students what they are supposed to have learned the previous year as well as the new subjects they should be teaching. It affects the student's, their parents, and administration & staff in the year round schooling system and the way its working. Year round schooling is a great idea because it's good for students that are struggling with grades in some classes. Teachers help make programs for the students more interesting and exciting, retired teachers often serve pool of instruction programs for students to boost up grades also some of the year- round school systems call upon professors or graduates students at local universities to teach intersession programs for students so their grades can improve (Ed.Adriane Ruggiero pg.7). Most parents that switched their children to year-round schooling systems loved it because they saw their children grades improving & loved how the system give the students extra help, this advocates that traditional schooling is outdated and year round schooling prevents students from learning loss by cutting out summer breaks out in allowing more creatives courses for the students can learn better but also while having fun doing it so they can get a better understanding of the subject and faster.
