Students, do you often feel bored at the end of the summer? Do you hate forgetting information you have previously learned? Teachers, isn't it a thwart to have to waste valuable class time re-teaching and reviewing things that students have already learned, but forgot? Year-round school would be a simple, and advantageous solution to these complications.. For example, students who attend school year-round are component to retain more knowledge and move along at a constant pace in comparison to students who follow the traditional school year. Research taken over a one hundred year time span has been proven that students taking the same standardized test both before and after summer break will have a notable lower score the second time. For this reason, this is why year-round school, establish’s students with a massive advantage. A very favorable advantage to any year-round school plan is that students don't forget as much of the material that they learn. When children remember more, less time has to be spent reviewing material, making more time for new material. As a result, less time is spent on reviewing, new material is taught then learned. Another, substantial point Margret brought up was, year-round education would provide America with the chance to compete with the education systems in countries such as China. Really, no one is "losing" the time they get away from school, it’s just being spread out over a longer period of time, which is in the students' own best interests.
