Psychology is the study of the human mind, behavior, and mental process. Psychology ranges from many different topics such as neurology or mental illness. Psychology can be extremely versatile and can be used in any field. When people think of psychology they think clinical psychology, research psychologists, or therapy in many different forms. People think psychology is confined to just psychological careers or any other form of psychology. Not many people think that psychology has extended jobs or occupations. When people think of psychology majors they think that psychology is restricted just to psychology occupations. People don’t think that you could use a psychology degree in just about anything. It's easier to get your point across, you know what to say in certain situations and you know how to react when in intense situations. You are able to comprehend more when someone tries to explain something to you or is having a hard time getting their ideas out. You are able to pinpoint body languages and what emotions someone is feeling through hand gestures or body movements. This skills is important in any work environment, especially if you are a CEO or a boss, it’s easier to communicate with your colleagues or employees. As a boss you must be able to read body language, facial expressions, or the way someone is talking. You must be able to listen, listening skills is also something you develop as a psychology major. You have to be able to actually hear and interpret what people are saying. You learn to actually listen to a person, and take in everything that say. Listening skills can be skills such as interpreting, processing information, or thinking of something in return to say. Listening skills coincide with communication skills, you have to have good listening skills to have good communication
