Personal Statement.
I am applying for Psychology degree after thorough consideration. I like to be in control of who I am and where I am going to. I finished a college course for Office and Business Management and Travel Management and went for building up a career.
For two years I worked as a branch director for a watch retail company. I really enjoyed the sense of responsibility and importance. This was a great opportunity to develop crucial transferable skills like time-management, communication and leadership. Working within the sales sector made me keen for details, attentive and respectful for people's opinions, desires and life styles.
At the beginning of this director role the relations between the employees and myself had to be built from scratch. Some people had a personal attachment to the previous director; however, I had to demonstrate tactfulness and mediation skills. I believed that the attitudes not the people should be changed. I focused on the relationships between people and started to study different psychological types and their features like Extroverts vs. Introverts, Thinking vs. Feeling etc. and motivational methods.

My image of high professional was achieved by learning every role within the business. We had discussions about the psychological types and sales arguments which would persuade customers to make a purchase. All my effort and enthusiasm influenced the same attitude of employees and an increase of sales. Developing the relationship further I have learned to listen and support everyone regardless of my own view to the problem.
