Many people have wondered how psychopaths think and why they do certain things that they do. People have labeled them as crazy, weird, scary and psychotic because of what they have seen and heard about them. None of those words that people have used are the exact definition of what a psychopath truly is. According to dictionary.com a psychopath is “a person who is suffering from chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior.” Not all psychopaths are crazy; most of them are just suffering from this terrible chronic disorder. The four different types of psychopaths are primary psychopaths, secondary psychopaths, distempered psychopaths, and charismatic psychopaths. According to the article The Difference between Sociopaths and Psychopaths there are four types of psychopaths. According to this article “primary psychopaths are people who are immune to disapproval, punishment, stress, and apprehension. They do not have a clear plan in life. Secondary psychopaths are known to be risk takers, they do no react to stress, and they also live to thrive in living a life of temptation and adventure. Distempered psychopaths are individuals who often burst out into a fit more easily than the other psychopaths. They have strong sexual urges, and they love the “high” associated with risky activities. Charismatic psychopaths are very appealing and attractive, they use their talents to manipulate other individuals, and they often take the form of dangerous cult leaders” (examinedexistance.com). People usually tend to say that all psychopaths are the same and that are all violent and all think the same. Some of it is true and some of it is not because although psychopathy is a disease as a whole most people do not know that there are different types of psychopathy.
