1. Tell us about yourself. What accomplishments are you most proud of and why? Include obstacles you have had to overcome, if any, in pursuing your education.
I am a senior at Mount Mary University majoring in psychology. The past four years have been a huge learning experience. One of my greatest accomplishments is making it through school this far, I am determined to graduate and I will be the first person in my family to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. I faced many obstacles along this journey, such as taking a semester off for medical leave, reevaluating my entire plan and struggling to find ways to connect to people on my college campus. The obstacles I faced helped me become the person I am today, it helped me determine what I wanted for my future and gave me extra motivation to do things that would better myself overall.

Explain how you plan to use your degree to pursue a career in public service, public administration or government affairs.?
I currently work in public service at the Milwaukee Public Library. When I graduate college in May 2018 with a bachelor’s in psychology I will qualify for other positions within the library system that work with the public. I plan on working full time with Milwaukee Public library while I am in school to get my masters in social work. I have also considered a post bachelor’s degree in public health or administration. Some of my larger goals were to start programs that would help low income individuals and families get on the right pathway.
