Uniform: Worth it or not?
Imagine a group of students were wearing for clothes for an awareness, but the group of students got detention because of not wearing “appropriate clothes” to school. Over the past few years and even now, parents still having this question considered: “ Should public school required uniforms?” To begin, school uniforms should not be a requirement because it took away students’ freedom to express themselves. The first constitution stated that “ all individuals have the right to express themselves freely.” and a study by researchers at Arizona state university found that “ students from school with uniforms reported higher self-perception scores than students from school with uniform policies.’ The first constitution is right because even though students can express their styles through other ways like make -up, hairstyles, and accessories, but what if the school policy said that wearing make -up or accessories is not allowed in school, then their hairstyles does not express of the student’s style that much. Children’s Commision on Poverty (UK) claims that “ 95% of parents on low incomes reported difficulties in meeting school- related costs.” The quote clearly states that it will cost more on school, and low incomes parents have their children study at public school for a free education but if the school then add uniforms, the parents now have to pay extra for it. People might disagree and say that: “ Normal clothes can cost up to one million dollars.” It is true that normal clothes can cost up to more than one million dollars, but that is for families had an average or above incomes.
