B) Woodland Park Zoo has a program called Quarters for Conservation that uses 25 cents of every admission ticket to support conservation programs in the city and universally (“Quarters for Conservation”, n.d.). Woodland Park Zoo encourages its visitors to become part of the decision of how the money is spent to support conservation (“Quarters for Conservation”, n.d.). A voting voucher is given during the visitor’s entry to the zoo and it is used to vote for one of the six conservation projects that Woodland Park zoo support (“Quarters for Conservation”, n.d.). A voucher represents one 1/3 and 1/2 of the 1/3 is used to supply all the projects the zoo is supporting; the other 1/2 is used to support the project voted by the visitor (“Quarters …show more content…

Conservation education is the process of delivering knowledge to people about environmental issues and conservation efforts. This is done through zoo teachers and education officers who use a variety of techniques, methods and assessments to influence people’s attitudes, emotions and behaviours (“Conservation Education | International Zoo Educators Association”, n.d.). Another ecosystem approach is how Zoos Victoria provides teachers with resources such as teacher campaign packs. Teachers can use those packs to guide students through a curriculum linking to the community’s conservation campaigns. This curriculum helps students to view questions that investigate wildlife conservation issues and commit to actions that will protect animals in the wild (“Teacher resources. Zoos Victoria”, n.d.). One of the current campaign packs is the Lion Teacher Resource Pack that contains information about the real example of the growing lion pride at Werribee Open Range Zoo (“Teacher resources.
