RND stands for Reflex Neurovascular Dystrophy and it’s a chronic disorder that causes immense pain and cognitive difficulties. I was diagnosed with RND when I was fourteen and finding positivity in a permanent diagnosis can be extremely difficult, sometimes even impossible. Being diagnosed with RND is certainly a major part of my background and looking back at it now I can honestly say I wouldn’t change a thing if given the opportunity. My diagnosis was extremely stressful and unexpected, but overall I realized that helped me. I became aware that I could handle anything life threw at me and I had the ability to work through it. I became amazing at managing my time between resting, school work, and the extra activities that I was involved in. My responsibility was something that improved the most. I became independent in both my school work and in life in general. RND has undeniably made an impact on my future. The thought of being able to help people drives me to work even harder on my education, so my dream of helping people can become a reality. RND has helped me realize my passion and drives me to be the best I can
