My main goal is to join the Respiratory Therapy Program. Ive been patiently waiting for this day to come, the day I finally get to apply. The feeling is unreal I can already picture myself sitting down in class with a stomach full of butterflies anxiously waiting to meet my classmates and profressors. I am ready for whats yet to come. I aspire to obtain my associates in the respiratory program. Futhermore, as a result of my achievement I desire to get a job in either a hospital or a clinic and be part of a great team. I look forward going to work everyday and applying my knowledge and skills to the best of my ability. I am a dedicated person who wants to be part of the success in an environment of growth and be able to use my experience and skills to excel in this field. I have always been confident about my future goals in life. As for a career I have always had a strong desire to help others,and being in the medical field seemed to suit my desire perfectly. The doctors first diagnosis was lung cancer. At the age of thirteen I had no idea what lung cancer was specifically I just knew cancer wasnt good. Both of my parents are hispanic and dont speak nor understand engllish. I felt helpless because I didnt really understand none of the terminology the doctors and nurses were using. My older brother who was eighteen at the time told us my dad was going to have a lung biopsy done. My dad was in intensive care for eight days that felt like weeks. Those days, I will never forget I remember everybody who went into his room would come out of the room sobbing. The amount of pain my da was in is undescribable , simply heartbraking. The results from the lung biopsy came in and the doctors told us he didnt have lung cancer but he had a lung
