The main focus of To Kill A Mockingbird was to convey to us to not judge people. The book was mainly about racism and judging people. The book was written by first giving us knowledge of the setting and what was taking place. I believe this book was written to help us understand what took place decades ago and to also teach us about the deep meaning of racism and how we shouldn't judge people and jump to conclusions. This novel made its point to me and it also taught me a good lesson. There were a lot of parts that I liked about the novel. I liked how the book gave us information bout the Radley family and gave us a brief description on how they looked. The descriptions given helped me visualize them and act their parts out in my head. I also liked how in Chapter 9 Atticus, Jem and the main character we're going back and forward on why not to say nigger. I liked this part because they said “Well if you don't want me to grow up talkin that way, why do you send me to school?”. I didn't like how the book had some things that I didn't understand. Not only does it teach great lessons but it has some funny moments in the book as well. This book helps us understand that we can't change the way people live their life. People are always going to live life how they want to live it. This book also teaches us how to love and not discriminate people. The book gives us details of the characters and the events that takes place. The characters personality makes the book even more interesting to me because the words they were saying and the descriptions of them helped me visualize them and make them come to life. This book showed how Atticus was a lawyer but still maintained to be a great father also. I believe this book should only be read by mature individuals because of the
