-Summary- Rafe is a middle school student who is bullied by a kid named miller. rafe hates miller but miller likes to bully him.(middle school,8) Rafe hates his principal because he thinks there are too many rules at school and rafe hates that there are rules. He has been kicked out of many schools before because he was breaking the rules the first rule he broke at his new school was pulling the fire alarm during the assembly and he never got caught.(middle school,31-32) Rafe loves to draw and he is very good at it everyone thinks so(middle school,11) except for his principal because he thinks that drawing is for at home not for school but then why is there an art class at school. Rafe has a sister and he had a brother but unfortunately he died from cancer,his name was leo and sometimes he imagens leo right next to him like a normal …show more content…

The reason he got kicked out of school was because he was breaking all the rules and not getting caught but when he got caught he got in huge trouble. At last he got in trouble he was suspended yet again from his 3rd school and the last school that would accept him so in conclution he had to go to a special art school that would accept him because he was a rule breaker.(middle school,268) -Symbolism- First off one example of symbolism in my book would be all the drawings that rafe does because they all symbolise something that he is going to do in the book like break the rules and mess with all the teachers. He also loves to draw funny pictures of teachers like when he is drawing picture of the mean dragon lady/Mrs.stricker.
