They are the people you can relate to or these are the people you want to be usually surrounded by. Everyone in someone 's life means something to them or that someone left an imprint in their life. In this story she mentions all these people who played an important role in her life. If we think about it we also have some people from home that we remember taught us a few thing or inspired us in life. When reading this story I can, I felt like I was a part of it but from my perspective. I felt each person she was talking about and put myself in a position that she was in. In this story she loses someone she had feelings for and liked, has family problem just like everyone else, and on top of that deal with the social life around her.
