In a time in European history, there was an era from the 5th to the 15th century known as the Middle Ages. The Middle Ages can often be referred to as the “Medieval period”, where buildings looked gloomy as they were made from gray cobblestone, and mankind was still in any idea of innovation, as they had no inspiration. Then during the 14th century, philosophy, art, and music were made exclusive, and became to some degree inspirational. Little did anyone know that was the beginning of a new era known as the Renaissance. Which was slowly but surely building a bridge which would lead the Middle Ages to the Modern Era.
About 1280 C.E. a new distinct era, the Renaissance, arose and replaced the turbulent and dark Middle Ages. This new era brought unique ideas and a rebirth of Greek and Roman cultures. Universities and schools were founded for learning, Renaissance people were well rounded in studies, and enlightenment thinkers of the time held strong beliefs that there was a Renaissance. From its beginnings in Italy, the Renaissance spread throughout Europe, and furthermore differencing Renaissance Europeans from the religious medieval people.
The Renaissance was a terrific time for innovation and learning after the Middle Ages. This era of advancement occurred between 1400 AD and 1700 AD. The Renaissance occurred in post-medieval Europe. The prosperous age brought many advancements to Europe in various fields, such as astronomy, mathematics, and art. The Renaissance also made man question everything they practiced in the Middle and Dark Ages.

It occurred right after the catastrophic events of the Black Death during the 1300’s that wiped out roughly half of Europe's population. Wars and political instabilities such as the Hundred Years’ War and city revolts also added more destruction to the what was already devastated Europe. The Renaissance served as an essential piece in creating Europe into one of the most advanced and successful areas during the 1400’s to the 1600’s. The Renaissance reached to an end in the late sixteenth mid seventeenth century. The churches loss a lot of power and grasp of feeling of independence, human expression and investigation led to envy, treason, murder, violence and theft. But than again the Renaissance were the ones that painted the way to a lot of achievements and inventions in a lot of different areas of culture, society, science, religion and modern day life. A lot more advances were proficient during this era that kept on being increased in value, considered and developed in modern day.
