According to Cascio and Aguinis (2011), job analysis and job description development are critical to attracting and retaining talented employees, making it essential for organizations like Red Lobster to develop effective job descriptions. Red Lobster must create job descriptions that align with its new business strategy to attract management-level staff who share the company's values and vision. Thus, this case study aims to describe the process of developing an effective job description for the Restaurant Manager position that aligns with Red Lobster's mission, vision, and values.

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality, addressing customer complaints, and implementing service improvements.
• Maintain quality standards by enforcing food safety, cleanliness, and maintenance policies and procedures.
• Manage and develop staff by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with other managers to develop and implement strategic plans to meet business goals.
Decision-Making Requirements:
• Determine staffing levels and hire, train, and terminate employees as necessary.
• Plan and execute menus based on customer demand and seasonal availability.
