Once upon a time, in a refrigerator in San Diego, there was an apple named Red. Red was a Honeycrisp apple with bright red skin and a short stem. He lived in the refrigerator with many of his fruit friends. His best friend was named Nara. She was a beautiful, round orange. They became friends the first day they were purchased at the grocery store. Red and Nara spend their time talking and playing games with the other fruit. They particularly enjoy playing hide-and-seek with the octuplets, eight of their best grape friends. In the fridge, Red spends most of his days in the fruit drawer. Sometimes he ventures to the vegetable compartment to visit his veggie friends. Red spends his time there with Brock a large stock of cauliflower. Brock is kind and has a good sense of humor. Red cherishes his time spent in the vegetable draw because it is an escape from his mundane life in the fruit compartment. However, even the vegetable compartment is losing its appeal.
