Ever since I was little, I have had a passion for helping people. No matter what I am doing in the moment, I am always willing to put it on hold for the person in need. If a fellow classmate needs help with a homework problem, I am gladly willing to explain the problem to help them better understand the content. For me, it is such a humbling experience to see the person finally comprehend the subject material after I help them. Throughout my life, technology has assisted me in helping out the people around me. Technology has played a massive role in shaping me in to the person I am today. If it weren’t for technology, I would not know nearly as much information as I do. By using various electronic devices in school, such as a MacBook or iPad, I have been able to study, research, and discover answers to the questions that have been burning in the back of my mind. Technology has also allowed me to further explore topics I learn about in school if they spark an interest in me. For example, my class learned about the topic of genetics in AP Biology. I strongly believe that everybody should have a person to confide in. There is nothing worse than bottling up all of ones feelings and not being able to express them. For this reason, I joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Sabre Splash. By being a mentor, I can help others who may not have other people to talk to. For me, there is no greater feeling than listening to a person’s situation and giving them advise. After talking and figuring out which solution would be best, it is rewarding to see the weight lifted off of the person’s shoulders. If someone is not feeling the best, it is also heartwarming to be the person to put a smile on their face. My aspiration to help as many people as I can has impacted what I want to do with my
