In the book, “A Child Called It”, David Pelzer shares his story of the abuse he received from his family and the children at school. David’s book did change me emotionally, and also changed me in general. After reading the book, I was left in shock for many reasons. The thought of how David might be to this day kept me thinking and I strongly believe that his mother left him scarred for the rest of his life. As mentioned earlier, the book did change me. The emotional abuse was worse in my opinion because not only did he have scars which reminded him of the horrible things his mom did to him, but he was now scarred with the memories of how he grew up. Most kids probably remember a good childhood, but David has to remember the horrible things he went through. Without being able to escape her horrible childhood
