He really takes the time to explain all of his thoughts thoroughly. He makes sure to give plenty of examples throughout the book. He even quotes politicians and he explains whether what they said is right or wrong. By doing this he tackles a number of myths and explains why they are not true. I found it intriguing how he compiles and deciphers his data.
The book shows us another way to write. Being serious, informative, and humorous all together. It shows us a creative way to title our paragraphs and what he writes on the margins helps us with how to use the information he gave
At the end of the 18th century, Europe erupted a shocked the world revolution, this is the famous French revolution. This revolution is like a sharp sword, row away every shrouded in continental Europe over heavy feudal "iron curtain”. Although the revolution, which began operating in 1789 finally ended in napoleon proclaimed himself, finally it failed to achieve the goal of the establishment of a democratic republic, but, over the continent of feudal unfolds once was torn by the revolution, it is no longer to fill that hole, European irreversibly to the revolutionary road of again and again. During the French Revolution, there were many thinkers of the time that influenced the progress of the country. Therefore, The following I am going to discuss the
Don’t feel the need that your first attempt at writing something should flawless. The first draft isn’t intentionally bad, it 's just how raw ideas on paper come out sometimes. Anne Lamott said that when she writes she makes her articles twice or even three times longer than what it originally was meant to be. In doing so, you’ll have more than enough ideas to work with to have bouncing around to use later or to remove and never look back. Review the first draft and take those ideas and make another one.
Like right now I am fighting going on a tangent. I also do not like how I structed my paper. I am a very basic writer, because that is what I was taught in grade school. I have a very definite introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. It is a very basic way to write, and I feel like my audience could have been more influenced by my writing if I made my paper flow more.
Writing for me is more than just scribbling down words on a paper, it is more personal and a reminder of the challenges and accomplishments that I have achieved throughout my life. In my journals I do not write about my day to day life, but rather focus on important moments throughout my life that had a huge impact on me. When I write about these events I try to do so with as much detail as possible so that when I look back on my words I can relive the whole experience once again. My writing is usually done late at night when everyone is asleep giving me the peace and quiet I need to focus on my work and so that I can write about my experiences with full remembrance of what occurred at the event. Writing plays an important part in my
I found that I absolutely need to be alone when I write. I get easily embarrassed, and it gives me some sort of anxiety when another person reads my unfinished paper. Along with that, I rather do my own proofreading instead of having someone else read it. That way, I know that they didn’t change something that I didn’t want changed. The use of the online source, Paper Rater, was extremely helpful.
Expository Writing,... I must say, I truly love this class. Though I may sound like I'm kissing up, I actually like this class. See, no one knows this about me, but I love writing. I've always loved writing stories about anything.
The topic of abortion has always been a controversial subject with many people advocating for them and many others who are against them. This issue has been debated in legal courts form many decades and is currently back in the supreme court as many politicians are trying to overturn the decision of Roe v. Wade which made abortions legal in all 50 states of the United States. Recently there has been a lot of discussion about a woman’s right to have an abortion. There many people and politicians who have opposing views on the matter. It is because of this reason that the issue is being debated again in the supreme court.
1. Throughout my experience in college, this is my first completely focused writing class. I took quite a lot of various English and Literature classes, but not one dedicated to only writing. Despite this notion, I believe that my writing skills are fairly adequate, though it depends on the type of writing I am tasked to complete. I feel I am really strong at writing that exemplifies strong visual imagery and minute detail.
Over the this past semester in freshman composition I have learned how to write a college level paper. Going into this class, I was a little unsure and scared that I wasn’t going to be able to do the things that were required for me to do. As the semester passed I could definitely see a change in my writing. I learned how to use the appropriate punctuation, how to write and refute an argumentation paper, which I believe is my strongest piece of writing and how to research and gather information to write a strong research paper. I knew coming into this class that I was going to struggle with my punctuations, word choice, and the overall flow of the paper.
I know every writer has had trouble writing at some point and they all had to improve so I hope this is my time to improve my writing. I can say without a doubt that I have made a grave mistake. I just enrolled in this class to try to get a head start on writing for college and to try to improve my writing skills which I don’t have much of in the first place. I can already tell that the next two quarters might or will be awful, but I have to take this class to be able to take Composition I and Composition II. I have no other want or need for writing except for college I have no further plans to try to involve writing in anything I do, the faster I can get it away from writing the better.
Writing essays and other types of posts has always been difficult for me. But, throughout this composition class, I have learned many interesting and new things about the different types of writing styles. When starting this class, I considered myself to be an average writer with run-of-the-mill vocabulary, ordinary sentence structure and typical finished products. This class has helped me greatly improve my writing skills in a variety of ways. I have learned multiple things by taking this class, such as new ways to approach writing and that there is much that I still need to learn about composition.
Writing has always been an issue but yet interesting subject of mine. As hard as I try and write essays, and papers I just can’t get the hang of writing. But after taking this class, I did learn different writing technique and improved my writing proficiency, material body of formatting, and how to uncovering and properly use sources. Through class exams, essays, and a research paper, I was able to learn new writing skills. Although I have learned a variety of things, my writing still needs improvement.
As I have mentioned last week, English is one of my weakest subject in school, especially when assignment involved with writing. Most of the time, I usually have my wife edit and proofread my paper before I submit them; that’s only if I remember to ask her. Otherwise, I will end up proofreading and submitting my own paper. According to Carduner (2007), it is nearly impossible for someone to accurately proofread their own writing and be consistently successful because after working long and hard on a paper, one will find little to no grammatical errors.
