In my search for the perfect college, I looked for diverse academic programs, a wide selection of activities outside the classroom, and ample future opportunities, all of which were met and exceeded by NYU. Located in a vibrant city filled with attractions for the newcomer, NYU offers a unique educational experience that combines classroom teachings and outdoor learning. An experience that would allow me to immerse myself into different cultures surrounding New York City, while also furthering my studies. The versatile nature of the campus shows me that this college is capable of pushing me to new limits, while also allowing me the opportunity to explore areas of interest I would have never considered. I feel as though NYU would be the perfect
.On any given day there will be a group of students working on their associates degrees that have been there long before I started to attend Wayne County Community College. They are a little older than I am, most being around the age of 23. They spend their time playing video games while I stand mind going to class. I consider this group to be friends but I am scared this is what my future will be like if I remain at this institution.
My original recipe, turkey tetrazzini called for a package of regular spaghetti noodles, butter, chicken broth, 2 cups of regular milk, 4 cups of chopped turkey, and grated parmesan cheese. I modified this recipe to include whole-wheat noodles, olive oil, low sodium chicken broth, and skim milk. Whole-wheat spaghetti was added to increase protein, B vitamins, and fiber content. Olive oil was used to replace the butter because olive oil contains vitamins E, K, & fatty acids. I decided to lower the sodium levels of chicken broth because sodium is a nutrient that I need to be more aware of in my diet.
My eyes automatically drifted to the tall bright palm tree that moved along with the rhythm of the wind. It’s leafs danced as they presented their welcome. The sun shined down and hugged me with warmth, giving my skin a tingling, but satisfying sensation. I had come from Virginia to California, the famous, constantly spoken of state, that finally reached my sight. The state presented its beautiful attributes to capture my wonder and mesmerization.
To the University of Florida and the College of Engineering, To begin with, I fully understand the reasons for my rejection from admission to the University of Florida and I also understand that the program is highly competitive. Yet I don’t comprehend how my grades or my pre-selective coursework is considered not competitive. Through this letter I would like to explain my side of the story and how UF and the Gator family mean a world to me. In addition, I would like for the College of Engineering and the University of Florida to reconsider my admission. It has been three years since I arrived to Florida.
English Composition 101 has been a fun class that helped me build my confidence as a writer. It was my first college class, and I am glad that I decided to take the course. It was a great experience, and the class will help me immensely in my future writing. When I started the class I had zero experience writing papers. My school had never taught me how to write papers and had never required me to write one, so I was very nervous when I started the class.
This past year has been one of my best since joining Clarkson University in the fall of 2015. I say this because last semester, fall 2017, I managed to obtain a 4.0 G.P.A., which had only happened to me once before during my first semester at Clarkson. To me, experiencing a semester similar to the first one I had is an ironic, symbolic, and learning moment. I say this because I completely changed one of my majors last semester. Originally, one of my degree programs was Biology, but I decided to change it to Psychology.

Writing, the basis of change around the world. People around the world use writing as a way to connect with others and to form a bond with readers. I have learned what it takes to heighten my writing and create pieces of work that lays a template for my further growth. As I learned how to write at the level that was needed to create presentable papers that could pass it became easier to know what should be in the papers and how to write them. Through each report, I had continued to learn more about my shortcomings and had progressed to a beyond passable grade.
Academic success to me is achieving good grades and understanding the material to get good grades. Academic success also means to have an good attendance. I already get mostly A’s and B’s, but I am not good at staying on top of things. To improve my academic success I will attend class more often, be more organized, pay attention in class, and not procrastinate.
