Reflective Essay: What I Learned In My Writing Class

I always thought that writing could be simple but it gives the effort on your own ideas and making it as your own point of view of the topic. Throughout my high school year, I was assigned difficult topics but I would always try hard and do my best for them. Usually I would read my essay a couple of times and it would take me a while to paraphrase all of my essay. It would take me the rest of the day on finishing my assignment of the essay. I would always get the habit on redoing on what I write and it would be difficult for me on getting to the point. While thinking back to senior year, my English teacher would be always be strict on our format because we had to know it for college.

For example, every time when we had to do an essay, we had to make our writing as MLA format. This would help me so much because now I know what to provide when I write an essay that needs a MLA format or work cited page. Usually they would say that it doesn't matter how many words, a least it's five paragraph. I think they should write more because you would explain more when they provide lots of evidence. I would write seven sentences each paragraph and it would improve myself as a student. I would work very hard when I get feedback on improving on my explaining of the text or topic. My attitude toward writing changes depending on what I write. For example, when the topic is about an interesting fact like the day when I had fun at the amusement park or when the day when your beliefs had been challenge. These topic would be very exciting to write because it would give me an idea on what to start on. The essay that I was really proud of was the last essay I wrote because I would rewrite on what I wrote and it took me a very long time to finish it.
