Unreliable Romeo Romeo and Juliet shapes all tragedies written by the genius William Shakespeare who has written several life changing plays. Romeo swoons over Juliet like a classic rascal. Romeo compares her to rich beauty and is stunned by her looks. Romeo and Juliet exchange sappy and passionate conversations. Even in the old times there were untrustworthy men. Sadly Juliet would realize the truth when Romeo slays Tybalt. Friar Lawrence warns Romeo about his intentions for pursuing Juliet. Romeo’s impulsive behavior led to more arguments, bad blood, and more tension between the Montagues and Capulets. Furthermore, (II.iii.13) Romeo was being very extreme in Friar Lawrence's cell. “Ha banishment/ be merciful say death.” Romeo did not appreciating the sympathy of the prince. Romeo was “laying on the ground with his own tears made drunk.” Romeo kept whining about how he needed to die. Romeo still is not learning that this is one of the many consequences of his actions, instead Romeo is dwindling in the past. The Friar gets very mad that Romeo is not grateful for his life, Romeo tells The Friar that he would never get to see Juliet again. Suddenly Romeo believes that Juliet hates him, Romeo reaches for his dagger trying to commit suicide, in this manner (III.iii.112) Romeo is explaining to the Friar why Juliet hates him. “As if that...hateful mansion.” This is evidence that Romeo still doesn't understand that violence does more harm than good. The Friar tries to calm Romeo down hoping he won't do anything this reckless again. The Friar accommodates Romeos needs, ultimately still sending him away, The Friar tells Romeo to go to Mantua where he will be safe, The Friar also tells Romeo that when it is night he can sneak out to see Juliet. The Friar tells Romeo to see Juliet because he realizes Romeo is weak and seeing Juliet will make him happier thus over a period of time earning Princes forgiveness and trust.
