Leonardo da Vinci’s full name was Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci. He was born in Vinci, Italy and was born on April 15, 1452. He died in Amboise, France and died on May 2, 1519. His most famous paintings are Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. He was not only a painter; he was also an engineer, inventor, scientist, sculptor, mathematician, and writer. When he was five, he moved and lived with his uncle and grandparents. Da Vinci did not get much formal education. He taught himself math, reading, and writing.
When da Vinci was fourteen, he became the student of Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence. He learned carpentry, drawing, leather arts, metalworking, painting, and sculpting from his teacher.
