Leonardo da Vinci - Artist
Born: April 15, 1452, in Vinci, Italy. Death: May 2, 1519, near Amboise France.
The artist behind “The Last Supper,” “Virgin of the Rocks” and “Mona Lisa.”
Made sketches of war machines and weapons, he was a military engineer.
His painting “The Last Supper” was painted on a wall and is thought to have taken 3 years to make.
He drew and painted using his left-hand.
Thrown in prison but was later found to be innocent.
He is often nicknamed as “The Renaissance Man.”

Michelangelo - Artist
Born: March 6, 1475, in Caprese, Italy. Death: February 18, 1564, in Rome, Italy.
Studied with the Medici family in sculpture.
His style is based on the artwork of classical antiquity.
He created the “Peta” at the age of only 25.

Starting in 1504 he was Waugino's apprentice.
Raphael worked as a chief architect for Pope Julius II.
His father died when he was only 11.
He was the artist behind “The School of Athens.”
He was the apprentice of Pietro Vannucci.

Filippo Brunelleschi - Artist
Born: 1377 in Florence, Italy. Death: April 15, 1446, Florence Italy.
The architect behind the “Dome of the Cathedral.”
He invented linear perspective in the artwork.
Would go searching for any lost knowledge in ancient ruins.
Known to be one of the first modern engineers.
In his early life, he trained as a goldsmith and sculptor.

Dante Alighieri - Writer
Born: May 21, 1265, in Florence, Italy. Death: September 13, 1321, in Ravenna, Italy.
Was the brilliant writer behind “The Divine Comedy.”
His mother died when he was at just the age of 12.
He often wrote religious allegories, for example, he wrote “The Divine Comedy.”
He was driven out of Florence for displeasing the pope.
