Andy Warhol began as an advertising illustrator and became the most famous American pop artist. Warhol created commercial art, such as Campbell's soup cans (1962), and photographs of celebrities like Marilyn Monroe (1962) . The detached style of Warhol's prints but pop art at odds with Abstract expressionists.
The final painting in the PowerPoint presentation I believe to be Vincent Van Gogh’s work. Among the three artists discussed throughout the presentation, Van Gogh is the only artist I can pair with this piece of art. I believe this is his art for a variety of reasons. Initially I can tell this is his work because of his utilization of impasto. Out of the three artists his work appeared the most relaxed, without definite shapes, which I clearly see in this piece.
Salvador Domenec Felip Jacint Dalí Domenech was an important painter for his time was best known for his surrealist works. I know that The Art Institute is a well-known and well-respected school with great teachers who can help me improve and expand my knowledge on photography. I know some fields of art are really hard to get into after college, so I really want a good education so that I will eventually be able to establish a great career after college, which I feel this school will be able to provide to me.
