My views on taking a healthier stance in the cafeteria and taking some of the students favorite items off the menu is, that you should not take the students favorite items.Some or the majority of students do not get hot meals or any meals at home due to poverty.If you take the favorite meals off the menu some children will refuse to eat and will go hungry. Also due to the healthier approach the cafeteria will lose money, because most students may quit buying lunch. Also taking the favorites meals may make the staff quit buying school lunch also which is losing even more profit which means food will go to waste. Some students will not get to eat because they will not be able to afford the new price increases; or will not want to eat because they do not have their favorite meals anymore. The students that refuse to eat will be hungry all day or until the next school meal if they do not have food to eat at home. Also the cafeteria and the school will have a big loss in profit due to the healthy food being more expensive and having no students or staff wanting to pay to eat what they do not want. We have to think about the students that only get to eat at school and look forward to their favorite school lunch or just school lunch in general. Also some staff members do not get home cooked meals at home because they do not have the time to fix a home cooked meal or the money to buy all the things to fix for it. Further more, the schools loss of profit could be devastating to the schools meal budget if no one is eating the foods that they are paying out more money than what they are making. If the school isn't making any profit off of the food they are selling in the cafeteria,won't make the cut to continue severing the food to the children that are still eating it; then even more children and staff will not get to eat until they get home if they even can
