A detailed analysis of one challenge facing the leadership of the organization.
Resistance to change in an organization is the primary challenge facing management in every entity, from the perspective of organization culture (Olson & Eoyang, 2011). Resistance among employees is manifested in various ways, and leadership has a role to play to ensure that smooth transition is realized in the entity. Change strategies ought to also be affected, to address factors leading to such challenges in the entity. The best means is for all leaders to understand the likely causes of change, and the sources of resistance in every situation.

On a daily basis, policies have to be introduced, and new ways of production ought to be introduced. All these procedures lead to increased organization development in the long term. At the same time, organization development is also very useful where personnel involvement is also embraced. In most cases, resistance is also caused by the general working atmosphere, and leaders should be keen on identifying such barriers to productivity.
How did the leadership of the organization address the challenge?

A lot of organization resistance can be avoided through proper communication, and through capturing compassion and positive emotion in the workplace (Dooley, 2017). By the end of the day, personnel only need to be involved, to foster productivity and increased efficiency in service delivery. A lot can be done, to ensure that engagement and a sense of belonging are part of the organization culture, to eliminate aspects of resistance in the long term.
Could it be done more efficiently?

Management at Verizon should have partnered with different stakeholders, to solve the mystery of employee resistance in the organization, before it gets out of hand. A lot of theories have been developed for the application, regarding organizational governance and change management. The Kotter's eight-step approach is a clear example of what needs to be done, to ensure that efficiency is restored.
