Response To Leon's Story By Leon Walter Tillage

171 Words1 Pages
Leon’s Story Response By: Our class recently completed the book, Leon’s Story, by Leon Walter Tillage. This book was an autobiography, describing leon’s life. There were several disturbing events that occurred in Leon’s life, such as his father being murdered. Another unsettling event was white kids throwing poop at him. A third traumatic event in Leon’s life was when leon got chased by dogs. I had several emotional responses to the events in the book. One reaction was the feeling of anger when leon’s dad was brutally murdered with a truck . Another reaction was the feeling of surprise when leon got protected by the army. In the afterword, Leon is not bitter about his life. This surprised me because he had bad things happen to him.
