Name of position holder:Ryan Honwad Term:Fall 2015 Responsibilities Mid-Term/Final Assessment & Comments ⃝ Develop and implement a training program for Leave No Trace. Completed: Learning the Principles is a requirement to rank up in boy scouts, but I have seen many scouts forget them once they have completed this requirement. This defeats the purpose of learning them in the first place. To prevent this from happening, I did a few things. I started to talk to all the patrols about these principles during patrol corners. When someone in my patrol needed this requirement. I had all the attendees of this patrol meeting to learn them as well. Completed: Whenever I went camping, I led the scouts in patroling the area and often emphasized the importance of leave no trace. For example, when we had the "bear incident" at summer camp, I talked to the younger scouts about how we could avoid additional encounters with the bear if we just cleaned up our trash. ⃝ Attend PLC meetings. Completed: I attended PLC meetings with my Report of Duties and updates on my tasks completed for the past month. ⃝ If attendance at a particular PLC is not possible, a replacement should be selected, and the SPL and Scoutmaster advised in advance. Completed: When I could not attend the meetings, I found a representitive and e-mailed them, Mr. Norgard and Chris (SPL). In addition, I always sent Chris my updated Report of Duties for that month. ⃝ A Mid Term Assessment Form must be completed and submitted to the Scoutmaster by April 15 for the Spring Term and by Oct. 15 for the Fall Term. Completed: I sent in my Mid Term Assessment Form on time. ⃝ An End of Term Assessment Form must be submitted to the Scoutmaster by July 15 for the Spring Term and January 15 for the Fall Term. Failure to submit an End of Term Assessment Form by the set date will mean that credit for the term will not be earned. Completed: This End of Term Assessment Form will be sent in on January
