“Everything you think you know about addiction is wrong”, is the topic opened up by Johann Hari in a TED Talk. He talks about his knowledge about addiction. He said, ¨the opposite of addiction is connection¨, this reflects on how he want to share the depth of addiction that we are not able to conceive. His ideas is so vast that enables the audience to contemplate. He got to express these things by demonstrating a strong support using ethos, pathos and logos. This is the reason why he is an effective writer.

To begin with, he is a british journalist that spent three years researching the war of drugs. His book “Chasing the Scream” is a compilation of those people who were a victim of drug addiction. With the Ted Talk he got to explain his thoughts about their different experiences, such as their suffering.
